I'm pretty sure St. Ambrose has the best PreK teacher in the world. These kids were so amazing today, thanks to Mrs. Mohin's daily efforts with them. They made a flower pot for Mrs. Mohin and Mrs. P to thank them for helping them to "bloom". They adore her, but they can't truly appreciate her until they are older and look back at this very formative year. They just know that they love her!
As a parent, I cannot thank this teacher enough for everything she has done, and continues to do, to help these little spirits grow intellectually, spiritually and socially.
So on behalf of the parents, thank you Mrs. Mohin, Mrs. P, and Dr. Kadela for all you do for our PreK children at St. Ambrose!- Pre K Parent
I just wanted to take the time to say Congratulations to Mrs. Kershnar and all the other teachers for an amazing job with the science fair. All the projects were amazing and the kids were just so confident and loved talking about their project. They were so prepared for this and enjoyed it so much. It was such a wonderful experience and it showed how hard they all worked. Another successful event. So happy to see that the kids are thriving and learning so much. Great teamwork.
God Bless,

I saw the recent post on the St. Ambrose Facebook page regarding the three students who got into the Early College Academy at SJV. Congratulations to them on this excellent achievement. A's recent acceptances into the Edison Academy and MAST are also a reflection of good news for the school and its high academic standards. She was accepted into the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies’ one of only 42 accepted in the county out of approximately 400 applicants. Also she was one out of only 5 outside of Monmouth County who were accepted into the incoming Marine Academy of Science & Technology (MAST) freshman class. In addition, A as well as C and M received scholarships and acceptance into Bishop Ahr HS’s prestigious honors program a few months ago. All of these are also great accomplishments for St. Ambrose School that can be used to share with potential incoming students and parents.

This Christmas Show was our first with the school. I just had to write you a note to tell you how incredibly impressed I was. You, the staff and students did the most wonderful job!! There were a few times I actually had tears in my eyes! It made our family's whole Christmas!
Everyone told me coming in that St. Ambrose is "like a family"....and even though we are new...we are truly honored to be a part of it! You've got something really special going on here!Parent
We came to St. Ambrose after our original school closed. At that time we thought that our child had been given a first rate education. We were pleasantly surprised that the level of instruction at St. Ambrose was much higher but the teachers worked hard to bring every transferee up to the St. Ambrose standard. And, they succeeded. The sports and other after school programs are first rate and encourage the interaction with students at all grades. The teachers and administrative staffs are visibly very interested in the development of educational and social skills with the students. Without them, it is doubtful that our child could have received accelerated admissions into the high school of his choice. We could not be happier that we are at St. Ambrose.

All three of my nieces attended St. Ambrose and I heard nothing by great things from my sister as well as from other parents.
I like everything about the program from the teachers to the curriculum and organization and structure. It is an amazing school and I would recommend it to anyone!
My son loves St. Ambrose School! He feels very at home and comfortable.
He had been attending one of the new "designer" daycare centers in the area and we found that the staff and teachers were constantly changing.
While the school curriculum had a good reputation in other centers, they did not have an established/tenured staff. All the "bells and whistles" and shiny new classrooms did not mean a thing when the person at the heart of the classroom was either not engaged or constantly changing. This is why we chose St. Ambrose!
Our next door neighbors had children in the program and raved about the teachers.
We love that St. Ambrose has a phenomenal staff of tenured teachers who understand the children that they teach. We feel that our son is truly cared for! He shows excitement and enthusiasm for school and learning. He takes his homework seriously and wants to do well.
We like that the teacher/student ratio is still smaller. I've heard stories of kids in other programs with 1 teacher (no aide) and 29 kids. We would not be comfortable with that kind of ratio.
My kindergarten son comes home from school talking about earning golden tickets for reading books! He now practices reading all afternoon and before school!
We have been at St. Ambrose School for 5 years now and what originally sparked our interest was the small family atmosphere and the sense of community. I always felt like my boys were well looked after and taken care of with love.
Mrs. Meehan and Mr. D treat my boys as their own. Teachers meet the students’ learning styles and personalities where they are and educate the whole child: mind, heart and spirit. I couldn’t be happier with the progress my child has made this year, both academically and socially.
Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts.
I went to Catholic school myself, and I remembered the closeness and family-like feeling that I felt with school. I want that for my children as well.
I believe in religious education and want to foster this in my children while laying the foundation for their primitive years. When researching Catholic schools around our area, we decided on St. Ambrose School because we liked that it integrated religious practices in education and the use of technological advancement in the classrooms as well.
My son constantly talks about what is happening in his classroom, and I feel that his needs are being met. He is excited about learning and understands what is requested of him. I also appreciate the communication with the staff. I am aware of everything my son does in the classroom.
What initially sparked my interest to send my kids to Saint Ambrose School was the “at home” feeling that I got at open house. When we were looking for preschool classes for my daughter, we toured other Catholic and other non-Catholic schools in the area. My husband and I felt that the other schools lacked structure or had an almost cold feeling. Saint Ambrose was very welcoming which influenced our decision.
My favorite part about the Kindergarten program is that the teachers are very aware of the students in the class. I like that both teachers can really zero in on each students strengths and weaknesses and have managed to individualize for each student.. or at least that's been my experience after having had two Kindergarteners go through the program. I cannot wait to send my last child.
I wanted my kids to go to a Catholic School, and when I visited St Ambrose, I fell in love with the fact that it is a small school with manageable class sizes and of course, I love the curriculum.
I like how the children are exposed to many extracurricular activities that help refine their minds and I like the way the curriculum is structured.
Our child’s safety and well-being is our first priority, and after visiting St. Ambrose for an open house, we felt that our daughter would be well taken care of which would allow her to receive a great education and a foundation for her future.
There are so many good things to say about the school! First and foremost the teachers are so wonderful and helpful! A few other things would be preparing them to read, math readiness, and for the children to be able to pick out a book from the library. My child said she likes nice teachers, good friends, arts and crafts, and STEM activities.
We originally came to St Ambrose because we had heard that the school had a reputable pre-k program. The children learn so much this school year - (letters, numbers, writing, facts, etc.) They are completely transformed from September to June. When they go to 1st grade they are 100% prepared. The teachers of course are an extension of the parents and do such a great job of taking care of them each day.
I was recommended by a friend whose kids attended the school about ten years ago and trust me it’s worth it.
My son loves the school, his teachers and classmates, and that makes it special for me. I am happy with his improvement. He can read now!
There is always room for improvement, but for a Catholic school St. Ambrose School is trying to meet every kid's needs.
The principal is fantastic. She knows education well in addition to being an effective administrator. She knows every kid by name, fosters structured behavior, and is great at incorporating the faith into the school.
Better than the local public schools for sure.
Caring teachers, great faith education, weekly Mass, extracurricular activities are good. We are pleased!
The teachers we are having are fantastic. They're good at looking for opportunities to challenge gifted children, and they give a lot of extra support for kids that need more help.
My daughter loves the Saint Ambrose School. The kids are kind and respectful. The teachers care about the students. She is appropriately challenged and engaged in the classroom. She is already reading and doing math. They have a nicely structured, yet varied class schedule of learning activities. She has met some wonderful kids. Great school environment!
I chose St. Ambrose School because other parents had spoken highly and having recently moved from New York, my husband and I visited the school and loved it!
I have seen tremendous linguistic improvements in my son by attending St. Ambrose. He is also more socially involved and gets along better with his peers. Keep up the good work!
St. Ambrose is a wonderful stepping stone for 3 and 4 year olds with structure and routine! Caring teachers that Olivia looks forward to seeing every day!
We have always heard wonderful things about St. Ambrose through friends! We chose to put our son here because they offered an academic, nurturing, motivational setting.
We all love the amazing staff!!! We also love the wonderful families of St. Ambrose. We enjoy all of the many opportunities to enjoy with our child in the school community!
I started my daughter in a PreK3 program at another Catholic School. It was nice, but she wasn't learning much and they didn't seem to be working to help her. However, I would never have known the difference if I didn't also send her to St. Ambrose. That's when I saw the substantial difference!
I love that there is a standard expectation of the children. Academically, socially, spiritually - they are encouraged to do their best!
