Ms. Teresa Rada has been teaching at Saint Ambrose School since 1996. She began teaching reading to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Currently, she teaches fourth grade reading, grammar, vocabulary, religion, and social studies, third grade social studies, and fifth grade science. Ms. Rada piloted the fourth grade Social Studies Weekly program which incorporates Chromebook technology in her daily lessons. This technology based curriculum will be incorporated into the third and fourth grade as well. She is currently working on her Wilson Reading Program certification. Ms. Rada has also been the co-coordinator of the St. Ambrose Mini Vinnies since its inception in 2013, and has been involved in other activities including drama club and game club. She loves teaching and seeing the children’s academic and spiritual growth over the years.
She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in elementary education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) with a minor in speech correction. Her teaching career began at Our Lady of Victories School in Sayreville, where she taught seventh and eighth grade social studies and religion. She then took some time off from teaching to raise her family. After returning to work, Ms. Rada was employed by the Matawan- Aberdeen Regional School District before coming to St. Ambrose School.
She currently resides in Englishtown with her daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
